Chalet Cerisier

Chamonix, France
Sleeps 10-12 / 5 bedrooms
Luxury Chalet Cerisier
In the heart of Les Bois, the centre of the Chamonix valley, Chalet Cerisier is at once both secluded and in perfect
proximity to ski lifts, to summer trails, and to every convenience of Chamonix town.

Sleeping 10-12 across four floors, and with every room designed to accentuate light and space, we believe Chalet Cerisier is
hard to match in the luxury market, both for the experience we provide and for the competitive pricing we offer.

About Chalet Cerisier
The living area is on the first floor to take full advantage of the views and to make maximum use of the massive balcony. There are sofas and armchairs for the entire party, an open log fire, a Bose entertainment system and Sky TV, with a drop-down projection screen for late night DVDs - all of it under one of the largest windows you are ever likely to see, with what is perhaps one of Chamonix's most striking and unusual views: looking straight up at the twin peaks of Les Drus. Mont Blanc itself dominates the view down the valley.

The chalet's dining space is adjacent. Right next to the kitchen area, the broad and solid wooden table seats 10 with plenty of elbow room, perfect for lazy breakfasts, sit-down dinners or even a little work on the laptop.

There are tables and chairs on the wrap-around balcony too, should you fancy a bit of sunrise freshness - or sunset romance - with your meal.

The kitchen is beautifully constructed from wood and granite, with Siemens ovens and induction hob. There is also a large American fridge-freezer and of course a dishwasher.
The bedrooms are as airy and spacious as the rest of the chalet; our intent when building Chalet Cerisier was to create a feeling of relaxation throughout, and you will find no clutter and nothing squeezed into corners. Light wood, large windows and satellite television are standard to every room.

The master suite is on the first floor with its own walk-through dressing room to the fabulous bathroom. Two bedrooms and two bathrooms are on the level above, one with bath and shower and one with shower. Two further bedrooms are on the ground floor, both with en-suite shower rooms and one with an adjoining studio living room, which opens out into the terrace and garden. All the bedrooms can be made up as either double or twin beds.

The 6 person sauna is downstairs. Also on the lower floor is a hidden gem - the only room without windows makes the perfect snug escape, whether you're leaving the kids with the X-Box 360 or if you're finding a hidden and intimate space for snoozing in front of a film.

There is also a games room with a proper pool table and a darts board, as well as a fully equipped laundry with washing machine and dryer.

The exterior of Chalet Cerisier is just as strikingly spacious as its interior. The wrap-around balcony has tables, chairs and ample room for dining outdoors, aided by the modern gas BBQ; the enormous garden is bordered by open fields and gentle woodland with paths leading up into the hills and, unusually for Chamonix, it is flat: perfect for snowman building, and in the summer there's plenty of room for an impromptu game of cricket or just lazing on the grass.

Though many chalets have outdoor hot tubs, few are complimented either by the space of the huge garden or by the dominating and awe-inspiring sight of Les Drus towering above you.

Chalet Cerisier Floorplans

Living area

Up the steps from the main entrance to the chalet, the main living area is open plan and extremely spacious. The ceiling is high and there is more window space than wall, making the entire area extremely light by day. The view of the Drus at sunset is quite breathtaking - and this area is where most of your time in the chalet will probably be spent.

The kitchen is excellently appointed and is perfectly suited to any kind of cooking. We can help you to arrange a private chef during your stay, and we highly recommend spending a night or three seeing what a professional can cook up with the tools available!

The dining space seats ten with ease, as do the sofa and armchairs in the living area - you can easily spend an entire evening just on this floor, cooking, eating, drinking, playing games, watching films or just sitting gazing at the log fire and the incredible view.

The master suite is also on this floor - one spacious bedroom complemented by a walk-through dressing room and a bathroom with its own private view of the Drus.
Top floor
The top floor of the chalet houses two spacious yet cosy bedrooms, with one bathroom separating them and a second bathroom a few steps away. The windows face west and east, making the views somewhat different to those from the main floor picture window. Both rooms have satellite TV.
Ground floor
The ground floor packs so much in that you realise how spacious the main living area is - aside from the entrance you will find our games room, with pool table and dart board, the ski/boot room with electric boot-warmers, the fourth bedroom and a standalone apartment with its own living space (kitchen, sofa and dining area and ensuite bedroom).

The sofa bed in this annexe apartment can be transformed into a sofa bed to sleep an additional 2 people - please enquire if your group is larger than 10 people.
Downstairs in the basement you'll find the snug, equipped with comfy sofa and bean bags to crash on, DVD collection to watch, X-Box 360 for the kids (or for you!), and all the privacy you could want - leave the kids in here and upstairs you won't hear a squeak. Also down here is the sauna, which seats six, the cave and an equipment room, plenty of space to dump things you want to keep out of the way.
